Meco Torch Maintenance

1. Loosen valves 2-3 turns each.
2. Loosen and lift packing nuts
3. Remove valves / packing nuts
4. Lift / dump out springs – There must be two per torch
5. Inspect needle ends for grooves / gouges. Surface must be clean and bright.
6. Inspect O-rings for gouges, cracks, grooves.
7. Use compressed air to blow out all orifices.
8. If carbon is present on the acetylene needle, then wipe it clean and inspect.
9. Reinstall valves.
10. Tighten packing nuts BY HAND only.
11. Valves should not be loose / floppy.
12. Check torch with hoses and gas.
