BEFORE: This rusty steel airplane droptank was rustpitted all the way through.

We used sanders and muriatic acid (swimming pool supply) to eat away the heavy scale rapidly (smoking fumes), but I do not recommend this to anyone without a complete fresh air acid-resistant safety suit.

Sandblasting was not an option, for I wished to solder up all of the pitted areas afterwards.

Once the tank was completely clean I proceeded to solder the large areas, at night, so the torch flame would show where the holes were.

AFTER: You can see how all of the rust-prone areas and the fluxed areas are now spotless, and not prone to rust at all.

The primer will simply go on over this, with a sealant over that. Simple fast and effective, the way good products should be.

This drop tank will be used on a restored P40, enabling it to go reasonable distances of a few hundred miles.

Fender with Rust	Sprayed on Must for Rust and let set for 20 seconds. Excess wiped up, dried, and ready for primer.

This is the best rust product Kent has ever found. It's safe to use, contains no hydrochloric or muriatic acids, is non-flammable, BUT MAY BURN YOUR SKIN.
