"Dear Kent,

Thank You again for a Workshop that I wish I took years ago. After 25 years of struggling with metalwork, I now am armed with a priceless arsenal of new weapons (and wisdom!) to help me beat the many brick walls that will no longer jake me. You're incredible, and now, I'm unstoppable!! And thank you for spoiling us with the excellent home-cooking. Bless you."

Steelworking Intensive
For those of you who are into automotive restoration as a profession or a hobby will be right at home with us for this workshop. Last year a customer brought with him the front fender to his 1958 Desoto which was damaged around the front headlight brawl when a patch wrongly welded in. The students helped as Kent showed them how to replace the entire front section and fit the patch to the headlights with nothing more than a few hand tools and a torch. After a few hours the seamless patch was finished! Car, Motorcycle, Air Plane or Boat, bring difficult part and let Kent show you how to get started! more info |

Tank Construction, Auto-Aircraft-Motorcycle-Other
Kent has been gathering tank construction methods for years. Making leak-proof tanks is basic, but making tanks of terne plate, aluminum, stainless, or copper requires some careful detail and planning. Design, patterns, forms, and layout are covered first. Then forming the individual parts, and deciding whether to rivet, solder, braze, or weld must be weighed carefully. Making and installing fittings, filler necks, and drain plugs, without distortion, is crucial. And then getting the thing to fit. All of this is covered. Great stuff. more info |

* All workshops currently take place at our "homebase shop" in Nevada City, CA.
Note: While the format may seem similar for many of these presentations, the actual experience varies tremendously. Participants are questioned prior to attendance, and the workshop is then designed for them based upon their interests and skill level. Please remember that there is a LOT to absorb, and many students repeat the trainings for a more advanced experience. Individual projects are encouraged, as many times they can provide a unique and rewarding lesson otherwise unavailable.
Schedule subject to change. Call 530-292-3506 or email today for more information or to make your reservation.
