    One of our favorite things about Anchorage was the plethora of unique drive thru espresso places that had fantastic coffee. This riveted sheet metal stand wasn’t in operation, but was parked just down the street from our workshop location.

    Since many of the participants were aircraft owners or builders, there was great interest in learning aluminum gas welding for both repairs and fabrication. Here Kent is giving a demonstration on repairing an aircraft part.

    Mark is a pilot and builder who attended the class. Mark is the unofficial mayor of Platinum, AK (pop. 64), along with managing the airstrip, and acting as the town medic among his dozen other job titles.
